Doesn’t matter if you’ve never heard of the original artists or you want great renditions of old faves, Punk Rock Jukebox Volume II is worth every sing-along.
Half Japanese, half American hardcore, many of the names here are familiar, and the others are the Japanese bands that make this comp worth listening to.
Although new vocalist Artie Phillie (ex-Milhouse) takes a while to get used to (he gave up his spazz growls for a traditional roar), his voice fits in.
The riffs are heavy, the tempo is perfect for all them karate experts in the pit, and there’s plenty of “fuck shit up!!” gang shouts to point your fingers to.
